Al Bevill, M.S., LPC, NCC, CCFC
Al is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He received his M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy Counseling from Capella University. He also has a B.S. degree in Business Finance from Samford University. He is currently pursuing his certification as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). He is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, American Counseling Association, The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health, and The American Association of Christian Counselors.
Prior to becoming a counselor, Al worked in the corporate world and Christian ministry for over 20 years. It has been the impact of his own personal experiences that have had the greatest influences in his passion for helping others as a counselor.His therapy interests and background include working with those affected by addiction, which includes sexual addiction and pornography addiction. He also works with couples on relationship issues, premarital counseling, emotional and spiritual problems that and couples experience in everyday life. In addition, Al works teenagers dealing with depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, abuse, and Asperger Syndrome. The therapy involves individual counseling, group therapy, and family counseling. Al works with parents and/or guardians to help them understand how to help their teen through a difficult time.
Peter Boyle, M.A., LPC, NCC,
Peter is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling, and National Certified Counselor through the National Certified Counselors Board. He received his Bachelor of Science in Honors Psychology and Master of Art in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Alabama Counseling Association.
Peter spent nearly a decade designing security systems for correctional facilities prior to his calling to become a counselor, and rather than working to keep people locked-up, he desired to help others free themselves from the chains that kept them from achieving success. Affected by his own personal life experiences, Peter has developed a passion for working with children and adolescents, especially at-risk youth, to overcome the behavioral and emotional obstacles to mental stability and healthy development. His working experience as a mental health professional, youth director, spiritual advisor and school guidance counselor has further molded his interests in assisting others in obtaining a balance of body, soul, and mind.
Peter works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples to develop the necessary skills for effective communication, positive interactions, healthy relationships, and practical methods of coping and stress management that are essential to achieving and maintaining mental wellness and stability. Peter also works with parents to develop effective parenting techniques and communication skills to present a united parenting style and has helped many families move through difficult situations that prevent positive parent/child/sibling relationships and achieve a healthier family structure.
